- Payment Terms
Payment is due immediately upon completion of works via credit/debit card or bank transfer. For projects exceeding 30 days in duration, progress payments shall be invoiced and payable upon completion of key milestones, including but not limited to: Rough In, Cut Out, Fit Off, or any other agreed stages or work pauses. - Compliance and Variations
This quotation is provided on the assumption that all existing electrical installations comply with the current Australian Standard AS/NZS 3000. Should any non-compliant wiring be identified during the course of works, such discovery will be considered a variation, and any additional rectification work will incur further charges. - Exclusions
Unless specifically included in the quotation, the following items are not covered and may incur additional charges:
- Rectification of pre-existing faults or issues;
- Damages, defects, or issues caused by parties other than Nexus Electrics;
- Hire of machinery or specialty tools;
- Trenching, cutting of stone or tile, plaster batten removal, or relocation of furniture or equipment;
- Working around or penetrating unexpected obstacles, materials, or hazardous substances;
- Non-standard installations or configurations;
- Rectification of surfaces (walls, ceilings, floors, grounds, or roofs) disturbed during works, except where specifically included in the scope.
- Site Access and Parking
It is assumed that suitable, convenient, and safe commercial vehicle parking will be available immediately upon arrival. Inadequate parking arrangements that result in delays or additional costs may incur further charges. - Permits and Legal Requirements
Nexus Electrics assumes all necessary permissions and permits have been secured by the client prior to commencement of works unless otherwise agreed. Fines, litigation costs, or delays resulting from missing approvals will constitute a variation and may result in additional charges. - Customer-Supplied Items
Where clients provide their own materials or components:
- Nexus Electrics is not responsible for faults, poor design, incompatibility, or incorrect specifications.
- Any resulting additional labour, return visits, inspections, or administrative time will be charged as a variation.
- This excludes situations where Nexus Electrics’ workmanship is at fault.
- Compatibility of Components
If newly installed components are found to be incompatible with existing aged or specialty systems, any labour or parts required to achieve compatibility shall be charged additionally unless stated otherwise in the quote. - Re-Inspection Fees
If the client is unavailable for final inspection at the agreed completion time, any return visit not related to fault rectification will incur a travel and administration fee. - Ownership of Materials
All materials supplied by Nexus Electrics remain the property of Nexus Electrics until full payment of the final invoice has been received and cleared. - Nature of Proposal – Quotation vs. Estimate
- If this document is marked Quotation, it represents a fixed-price offer for goods and services, subject to the outlined scope and these terms. Variations to scope, not labour hour discrepancies, may affect the final amount.
- If marked Estimate, the final invoice will reflect the actual time, materials, and expenses incurred due to uncertain job variables.
- Scope Adjustments
Any changes to the agreed scope of work, including reductions made with less than 48 hours' notice, may result in additional charges to cover lost time, rescheduling, or staff downtime. - Data and Communications
By engaging Nexus Electrics, the client consents to the recording and retention of communication records (including but not limited to email, SMS, and phone calls). Client data may be processed via secure, reputable third-party platforms as required for service delivery. Nexus Electrics will not share any personal information externally unless required by law.
